Bas Ouwens (1959) is responsible for general affairs but is also intensively involved in complex technical insurance matters and special risks on a day to day basis. He started his career in insurances in 1979 as underwriter of Nieuw Rotterdam (now: AXA). Bas later joined the largest marine broker of the continent Hudig-Langeveldt (now AON). His passion for marine liability and P&I in particular made him switch to Dutch P&I in 1990.

Having gained valuable experience working with a Rotterdam based P&I firm, Martijn Steenkamp (1959) joined Dutch P&I in 1992. Being responsible for the development of the company, he is focussing on commercial developments such as new international projects. Martijn graduated from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam having read Law, his specialist subject being Maritime Law. His unorthodox character provides a good match for his love for vintage Citroen cars.
